The most visited place in Oslo is the Vigeland Park. ビーゲラン彫刻公園
Every year 1-2 million people visit the park. All Japanese tours include this park in their Oslo program. So I bring my Japanese guests there, too, of course. It takes time to walk 850 meters and back and admire all the sculptures. But the park is open 24 hours a day, so we do not have to worry about the gate being closed.
The park’s real name is the Frogner Park. フログネル公園 That means, the Vigeland Sculpture Park is part of a an even larger park.
All the sculptures are made by one artist, Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943). This is the world’s largest sculpture park made by a single artist. All together there are 212 bronze and granite sculptures.
The angry boy is the most popular and famous sculpture.
But I like this little girl, too!
The Monolith is 14,12meters high and is composed of 121 human figures. モノリースの台地
Around the Monolith there are 36 figure groups representing the «circle of life».
Here are two of my favorites.
There are also many flowers in the park.
