My friend in Sogn, Solbjørg, served us traditional Norwegian food: rømmegrøt.
Rømmegrøt is a kind of porridge made from sour cream. In this area of Sogn it is served with fruit soup on top. The fruit are mostly prunes.
Different kinds of ham are eaten with rømmegrøt.
Flatbread is usually eaten with the ham. To eat this unleavend bread is a very old tradition – eaten also by the vikings.
Another day my friend served us reindeer meat.
